e70 4.8i adaptive drive power steering expansion hose bracket needed

1 Attachment(s)
The used X5 I purchased is missing the bracket on the PS expansion hose.... :(

Worse yet it seems to only come with the hose that is way overpriced.

Does anyone happen to have the bracket and bushing laying around that they would be willing to sell? Perhaps someone replaced the whole assembly and still has the old one laying around that they could take it off from?

It is for a 2007 4.8i with adaptive drive.

Here is a picture with the bracket circled (I do have the bolt):

Send me a PM if you have one that you can sell.

Thanks,

Rich

You can fabricate that easily if you wish.

You have the part number?

The part number for the assembly (bracket plus hose) is: 32416785921

My backup plan is to fabricate it with a piece of bent aluminum stock but I like the look of original parts better in most cases.

I could even draw it up and have it waterjet cut pretty easily if I wanted to. If I can't find an original for a decent price I might really waterjet cut a few of them. I have already designed and sell lots of waterjet cut parts in a different car community.

Paying someone $20-25 or so for something they aren't using is preferable and worth more than my time and is a win win. :)

I am also checking with a few ebay sellers to see if they will sell just the bracket (given that people would normally not need it) but I wanted to try here too.

Try finding the the used hose/bracket assembly from an auto dismatler. You can use car-part.com to search all of them.

Wow... $450. Thats painful.

Any ideas how your bracket got lost?

Problem with dismantlers these days is they look at the new part MSRP and ask for 50%. Even for a hose that has a defined life....

The stated prices are anything but final. Just have to be willing to negotiate.
