Driver door lock actuator??please help!!!!
I replaced my driver door on my x5 (e70) because of damage with a used matching door. I closed and opened the door after installing and it was working fine until I locked it. Now the door will not open from the inside or outside. Same issue with the passenger door. My central locking button on the dash does not lock/unlock any doors nor does the key fob. I’ve tried to open by pulling the interior handle over and over, the lock pin raises up but goes down when I release the handle.
I’ve been doing some research and read about bmws “deadlocking” I also read about bad actuators... I don’t think the actuators would go out on multiple doors at the same time....but does any one know if the used driver door I installed had a bad actuator would this affect the others????? I can turn on and drive it with no problems but I have to go in through the back passenger doors and climb in to the drivers seat. I can’t try to open the driver door with the key because I didn’t get to change the key cylinder on the used door before this happened. The remote also opens the trunk/tailgate fine. |
Can you check the fuse? There should be a paper diagram in the trunk for it.

^^ if that doesn't work, you may still be able to remove the door panel even if it's shut stuck and access the cable to manually open it.

Driver door lock failure
Wonder if you have an update on how you got door open. Have a failure in driver door only can not unlockwith key or buttons. Other 3 doors work fine. I am doing the same gymnastics climbing from passenger side
