On vacation - 35d check eng light

As the title states, on vacation and about to head back home tomorrow.
Unfortunately I have the following codes: (via iPhone w/Carley)

- 004BC6 Intake (reference signal for air mass meter)
- 004831

Vehicle seems to run as usually. Only thing I can maybe notice is a bit more deisel sound, but that can be my mind playing tricks.

I’ve done my homework and still confused. I’m not sure if it’s my actual MAF or the air temp sensor on the charge side (which I have no idea of where that’s locate).
I keep reading that if my MAF is actually bad, then I’d be in limp mode or loss of power. So I’m leaning towards the temp side.....but wanted to ask you guys for any input.

Thanks

I seem to recall the intake air temp sensor is actually IN the maf itself.

www.newtis.info, the schematic may show that.

There is a temperature sensor on the piping that goes from the intercooler to the throttle/egr valve. It measures IAT post turbo, post IC. It's near the clip that holds the pipe onto the radiator support. You can see a wire going to it.

So is that the suggested the culprit?

Check the housings, look for air leaks. Check filter. Check connectors/

I was troubleshooting an issue last year and drove around with the MAF unplugged for many miles. If I were you, I would drive home and worry about it then. Unplugging the MAF also disables the EGR so you may see an increase in MPG on the way home :).

Thanks everyone.
