Blowing cold Air only! No heat...
 

Hello guys, again forgive me if this has been asked and answered but I have not been able to find the answer to my issue. My AC works fine, the motor blower works, the heater core was checked and works, the thermostat was replaced, and the coolant was flushed, so I have no idea as to why I am not getting any heat. What else can be checked?

Also the steering wheel heat function doesn't work at all. The mechanic has checked everything and said the last thing to do is to check inside the car which their are sensors inside the car that may be damaged. When he checked it, it gave a cabin sensor warning but when I do an internet search I don't find anything on that or anyone else having a similar issue.

Have you checked your heater control valve? Its below the coolant reservoir on the driver's side. The seals usually fail and feed hot coolant to the system, resulting in warm air when calling for cold A/C air. But, if the solenoids fail, then hot coolant can't get inside to the cabin to provide heat.

Yes, the mechanic originally thought it was that, replaced it and nothing changed.

Is it blowing cold through all vents or just dash vents? What about the floor vents. Kind of sounds like the settings for the vents through the CCC I-drive is set to cold only and not in the center for cold or hot as needed. Could be way off but worth checking.

Yes that was checked, it's blowing cold even when set to hot via the ccc system. Also, I noticed that when I press auto no matter how cold it is, it changes to AC meaning the snowflake light turns on each time.

AC runs 100% of the time on auto, to dehumidify the air. So I would NOT be concerned about 'I press auto an the snowflake comes on'.

The heater control valves should rout the air through the heater core so the air is heated, even if the AC is also engaged.

I am guessing you will say 'the mechanic checked that so its OK' but if the coolant isnt properly purged, is there an air bubble in the heater core? Just a wag

Okay, so I believe it I have had everything done to get the heat to work, my mechanic finally got it to work, but now the problem is it takes over 30 minutes of driving for the heat to come on, which sucks because it's starting to get cold in NYC. Any suggestions of what it can be?
