Sat Radio Reception - Where is the Antenna?
 

The Satellite radio reception is not very good in our '13 E70. Our E53 was much better, but the antenna was outside on the rear roof, just ahead of the hatch opening..

But all it takes is light tree coverage, or some tall buildings to mess with the reception. I don't recall this ever being an issue previously in other cars..

I had assumed the Sat Radio Antenna would have been built into the little 'Shark Fin' antenna on the roof, but now I am wondering if its just in the dash or something?

Or maybe Sirius has been losing satellite's and not replacing them , reducing coverage?

I dunno, anyone else experience poor reception?

Appears antenna is essentially in the same location as the one was on our E53, wonder why the reception is so crappy in comparison..
