Anyone replaced tail gate handle before?
 

The rubber on the handle is disintegrating and every time we use it, it leaves black smudges on my fingers.

For some reason I can’t upload pictures from my iPhone. App is giving me errors.

So even after you wash it, it is still degrading and leaving marks??

Or is it that the rubber just is picking up soot. exhaust, dirt and transferring it when you touch it?

A picture means a lot. This is not a usual replacement part.

It's not soot or any surface dirt leaving marks. It's the actual rubber coming off. Pretty much the same thing with the door handles we're all know about.
