help please!

today I pulled into a parking spot and felt something weird. When I got back in and backed out, my x5 started shuddering. It's shuddering at low speeds and idle. I googled it and all of those are saying that it's either my transmission fluid or my transfer case. Could yall help me to figure out what could be wrong? I have just over 120,000 miles and it's a 2007 4.8i.

is the engine running smoothly? did it throw a SES light in the cluster?

Connect an OBD reader on it if so

i got it checked with an OBD a few weeks ago and the three present codes were 2A12, 2A13, and 2A18, my check engine light turned on a few days before we checked it. the engine has ran smooth except for today

Aren’t those pump fault codes? The wiring harness at the pump?

the 2A12 is something to do with the DMTL solenoid valve activation, the 2A13 has something to do with the DMTL leak diagnosis pump activation and then the 2A18 has something to do with DMTL heater activation

I have seen that the harness malfunction can throw all three codes. Just a thought

none of those codes will result in shuddering and driving issues. They are all related to fuel tank vapor retention and testing, AFAIK.

OP you need someone with BMW software who can read BMW codes and modules.

IMO, it isnt "the FLUID". could be the trans, but cant see it being 'just a fluid change'
