Correct TPMS For my 08/2011 35d
Looking to buy a set of TPM sensors but having trouble confidently knowing what to buy. All I know these are 433mhz sensors.
There's information out there that E70 TPMS were changed during the life cycle, but no information exactly when. Do I purchase just the sensor or the stem and gaskets? Any preferred vendors? Any help is appreciated. Current set is 7 years old and throwing malfunction message occasionally - likely due to batteries. |
I just replaced mine.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Best online price I could find; and Huf is an OEM supplier... Easy peasy; local tire shop charged me $25 to replace to replace 3 on my car |
Set of 4 TPMS
Those are what I ordered. Huf is the OES for BMW I believe as mentioned above. $120 for all 4 was the best I could find. They've been on the truck with 20" wheels since August 2017 with no issues. They also verify by your VIN when ordering which is nice. |
Thanks, guys!
Ordered these from Amazon (by vendor TPMS): https://www.amazon.com/TPMS-36106771.../dp/B07G7H8YPM 10$ more than at https://www.tpms.com but with free shipping, probably ended up as same total. |
When putting together a snow tire set four years ago, I just bought them from Tischer. They ask for the VIN (obviously) and wheel style number. Not sure wheel style matters. Anyway, when I bought them, PKTPMS (Tischer's part number) was pretty cheap for OE sensors and included everything to put on a new set of wheels. Now, the kit is over $400. I definitely didn't pay that much. Just saying it's worth checking them out in the future. Maybe they run crazy sales on them occasionally, maybe I got lucky.
An aftermarket source is Autel. They sell universal sensors that you have to program for the application using their equipment. Sort of a pain but I found there are a few dealers in my areas that can do it and I happen to have a friend that can, too. If you want to be able to read pressure and temperature, get the Autel MaxiTPMS TS401. It makes checking pressures so easy, I'm thinking of getting a set of sensors for my M5. |
