oil level sensor malfunction
 
Got this message yesterday. Carly giving fault code 002E9F Oelzustandssensor. I tried to clear the fault but it come back. The oil level on the screen show OK. It happen when we had that really cold temp wave coming thru. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry I thought that was in my cig... but just no sig show up. 2010 X5 xDrive 30i 70,000 miles.

Not sure if the N62 uses the same sensor, but we've had this message pop up maybe 8 times or so over our 3 years of ownership. Only when cold, and only during short trips with multiple stop/starts. Performed fine the other 99% of drives.


Guess not as much of a concern for me since we can still reference the dipstick.

You have a dipstick?!?!?! I should be so lucky. NO oil dipstick or trans fluid!!!
