Muffler Delete 3.0si e70 X5

After fixing all of the issues I've had with my e70 recently, I decided to do a muffler delete along with some Magnaflow exhaust tips. I did some shopping around and first went to shop shop in Lagrange, IL. Not going to name the shop, but they wanted $500+ tax to cut off the muffler and weld a pipe into place at cut off point. Then said they had to make a "tee" somewhere up the middle because they could not weld the 2 pipes to fit to the existing pipe. Second option was cutting at resonator before the 2 pipes merge together to get a "true dual exhaust." 775+ tax. Both options were using aluminized steel. And the last option, using stainless steel piping at a cost of $975+ tax. I immediately left. I ended up going to a place in the southside of Chicago where I grew up. Lets just say I got for a fraction of the first option. The guy did a great job, I even gave him a tip for beer. :-) Now all I need to do is apply some high heat primer and paint to protect the new pipes. Overall satisfied with result. Will post pictures and video soon. Sounds great. :wow:

Sounds great in the video. Does it have any drone at any RPMs?

Thanks!

I was hoping for a drive-by video too. Might be too loud for me as I take it for long drives.

I got a cabin video with the windows closed and again with windows opened, that might give you a better idea. I just need some time to edit the videos. Will have them up by the end of the week. It's not that bad, but yes it does make some noise which in my case I enjoy. It might be too loud for some. I'll post a reply with a link when I'm done.
