08 3.0si rear suspension lifting on it's own?

I've tried to search and read a bunch. Everything with air suspension relates to sagging from what I have found. I have the exact opposite issue. My X5 will randomly inflate the rear bags to full height, and the icon will show on the dash like I pushed the button to lift it.

I am planning to replace the rear ride height sensors. But I'm having trouble tracking them down. Everything I find seems to say that it is a headlight leveling switch. Are these the right sensors? AFAIK there is only the 2 sensors in the rear, so I can only assume these mislabeled sensors are correct. Just wanted to confirm before purchasing.

Any insight on the parts or the issue would be greatly appreciated. Ordering an INPA cable here right away as well, so I'll have proper access to codes.

afaik those level sensors send their signals and these are used for both functions.

You might want to simply disconnect the rods for testing what's going on. Obviously there will be no adjusting by the system untill you manually change the rod's position a bit and see if the system reacts.

You might be able to read out the sensor's data in INPA. Disconnect, readout, manually change a position, readout and so on. See what's going on.

I wouldn't exchange the sensors before knowing for (as) sure (as possible) that they are the cause. Because they break easily and are not free. Plus you would still have the issue.

Sensors are 125$ for both, so I just ordered them anyway. INPA cable will be here Friday, so hopefully next week I can get it plugged in and see what I'm dealing with.

Has this dreaded yellow park brake light issue as well. And the idrive controller isn't working.

If anyone cares.... The height sensors fixed the issue. Vehicle is sitting low on left side though now. Imagine I will have to get into the programming and re-adjust or set the rear heights.
