A far as tire pressure, I usually run 32 on both front and back (since I rarely have rear passengers). All personal preference, of course.

Think we will put a new set of front tyres, and try to find a part worn star marked tyre for the back as the back ones are less than 1 year old and still have about 7mm of tread (very hard to do however). Worse comes to worse we will just put a new full set on, probably use duelers again although Dunlop Sport Maxx are coming down in prices.

you can pair a 7mm worn with a 10mm new tire, no problems. Do look into your alignment. 99% of the time it is accelerating wear. People thing 'the car doenst pull so it isnt alignment'. not true. Its a silent (tire) killer  |
Thanks
You guys are a lot more active than the UK xDrivers forums, many on those have been put off slightly because of their new format and so it has gone rather quiet. Managed to get a lot of help here however, have no regrets becoming a registered member here! All the best, and thanks for the help all. I will be sure to be more active on here, although already have a build thread on PistonHeads for the X5 (more of a maintenance log haha). |
