Plastic Tabs

Hello Friends
I do apologize if this issue has been raised before, but it's past 3AM. I went thru about 20 pages and nothing showed so call me names if necessary.

On my 2011 X5 there is a part called a grid. I took a photo from real oem, but I'm using Imgur since I maxed out FREE space on photobucket. In the image that hopefully comes across it is part #8 ON THE PASSENGER SIDE (PS).

These grid parts must serve a purpose since the have a hole to pop them out with a finger. My issue is that I have tried fighting with them and eventually I can get the tabs back in the slot. Hit a few bumps and out it comes. It doesn't fall OFF but it's being held by probably 2 of the 4 tabs.

Today I discovered my PS rear trim with the same tab setup, indicated by #5 in the photo have also come out of their holders. It's a poor design since you have to go PAST the point where it would latch and the try to push it into position.

I have been seriously considering some Gorilla Glue, but truthfully I am reluctant since if it doesn't hold, I'll have to deal with the glue mess too.

So anyone out there come across a similar problem, and if so is there a miracle cure you'd like to share with me?

I hope this photo works: https://i.imgur.com/4GarhoB.png

I'd buy new ones if they're falling out due to broken tabs...

If you do go the ghetto glue route, don't use gorilla glue, us a single drop or two of super glue on the the two pegs instead.

Ever use Gorilla glue? Might as well use some expanding foam & be super ghetto...

I would have to buy a bumper

Thank you.
I guess I didn't explain myself clearly.
A) the tabs are not broken - they just don't stay clipped into the bumper.
B) So replacing the grid would not solve anything
C) I have used Gorilla Glue successfully. Just a drop or two does the job.

Thanks for the reply!
