Daytime running lights
I have one daytime running light that is out. Tried swapping bulbs and it's still out. What number is the fuse I should be looking for to check?
|
Mine did the same the day before it was due to be shipped (which made me wonder if is haunted.... :)
I put two regular bulbs in (the broken one was an aftermarket unit with a more whitish light color) and they both started working normally. Something in the lighting module seems to switch off the feed to the side that breaks. I don't think I needed to reset the FRM. |

Exterior lighting is managed by a control module {I believe it is the FRM (aka "footwell module) on your model year}...not individual fuses. So either check the wiring, bulb, or the control modules.
If you're not familiar with the online TIS website...enter the last 7 digits of your VIN, then type "headlights daytime running lights" into the search box (for a general search for related links about function, wiring diagrams, installation, removal, etc): www.newtis.info EDIT: yep...it's the FRM that controls your exterior lights...you can go to the tis link above and type "footwell module" to get more information like below: |
There is a DRL module on the bottom of the headlight, that could also have failed
