Hey guys I have just recently come across from the e53 forums to this one as my previous car was t boned by a RR sport and deemed an economic write off. Purchased a very well looked after 2008 XDrive oiler and am loving the car so far. I had an exceptional run with my previous vehicle 3 years ownership without a problem. I think the e70 is much more refined but in my opinion a lot softer than the e53. Both have the 19 in staggered setup and sports pack but the 70 seems imo to float a bit compared to the 53. Not a complaint just an observation. This car has had aftermarket xenons fitted which I'm not in love with and the only way to get to the headlights seems to be through the wheel well. I want to change the ae bulbs to led but haven't braved that one yet . Two questions how do I change my signature and is there a way to get to the head light through the engine compartment. It seems strange you can't access these bulbs on the fly if you have one go out especially turn signals.

upper part of the page you should find "User CP"...which is User Control Panel. You can change your sig there.

You can reach in through th engine bay to the back of the headlights to change the bulbs.. just have to do it more or less blind. I just did it, and used phone camera to check what I’d done etc.
