e70 35d no boost, no cel, already replaced vacuum lines

brand new platinum cured silicon lines, replaced those 2 weeks maybe 3, even went as far as zip tieing EACH connection...I triple checked all the lines last night including the ones under intake manifold, everything is in its place.. Anyways all was well till about Friday or Saturday night, which is when i noticed no power down low... Ended up replacing the blow by pipe from tunemyeuro, intake air to exhaust seal, new boost pressure senor and seal, cbu cleaning 3 weeks ago, all new gaskets on manifold, (the list is extensive,) in hopes my issue would be resolved but no dice.

Regardless i have no CEL for anything other than 4bcc, which is have new 10k ohm resistors in route. MY paid version of bimmer tool doesnt seem to show correct boost readings either ( always showing around 25psi even when off throttle. Ive seen Andrews videos on testing vacuum and actuators but seems like one would have CEL in that situation or am i wrong? Only other thing worth mentioning is my air mass readings on the app are showing 500s and it says it should be around 2000? Also back pressure test is showing single digits numbers ?

Have you checked the pressure converters and electronic valves?

Not yet, but every video ive found online indicates if one is bad you will get a CEL... Only thing ive checked is to see if the actuator arm moves once you start vehicle which it does...

What RPM does boost come in? 2800-3200ish? If so, it's your MAP sensor. I had the same issue on my 2009 a couple years ago.

wouldnt i have a CEL if map sensor failed? Also if this is the one in the intake manifold, where it sits in the back inside a rubber grommet, then i already replaced both the sensor and and grommet.

seems like only the low pressure turbo ( above 2500 rpm ) is working.

Have you tried data logging? That will tell you everything you need to know. I personally use testo and it's fantastic

e70x5d 01-30-2020 02:43 PM

i tried to data log with paid version of bimmer tool, https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...xpert&hl=en_US

but havent figured out how to find the file... i ordered the protool BT dongle from bimmergeeks, but have been hearing mixed reviews on the app... going to try to install inpa on another lap top see if it works.

Its only my high pressure turbo thats not working, as it seems to start pulling above 2500 rpms.

Protool has limitations. Testo doesn't

are you conflating the terms "a CEL" with "a Code"????????????

Generally CELs arent useful for troubleshooting- its all about the codes. You have a code related to DEF that (i think) should have your CEL on all the time, but you report "no CEL other than 4bcc"...which makes no sense
