Anyone using quickjack lift on e70?
I am interested in getting this lift:
https://www.quickjack.com/car-lifts/bl-5000ext/ Anyone has first hand experience with it on E70. My issue is that jack points on e70 are 67" and extended version of this lift is listed at 66". |

The E70 weighs more than the 5,000lb limit that this jack is capable off. You need to look elsewhere. Sent from my iPhone using Xoutpost.com |

Correct. Not worried about curb weight. Was looking at 7000lbs version.

I don't like them. Never felt secure and that's with my 4000 pound M5. I never would seriously consider it for the X5. I especially don't like that there's only two ways out from under the vehicle.

I have no Personal experience with them, but for a little more, have you considered MaxJax?
This would be the way I'd like to go eventually.. https://i.ytimg.com/vi/-RhO8LF5e88/maxresdefault.jpg |
Thanks for the info. Looked into this before, but current house has couple of limitations. Biggest issue is current garage floor is not 4" thick and questionable if reinforced with steel bar.
Also floor is not flat. I have slight slope down (not sure if greater than 3 degrees of slope required). |

In some areas bolting down a lift brings in insurance and tax issues.
A friend got a version of this one shopping around i think 2k. Works well but a lot of setup. |

I can't comment on the E70 but I use the BL7000EXT on my E53 and it is absolutely rock solid and makes life so much easier working on my E53 and E46 in my garage. I use the SUV and light truck adapter and they are all the way out to the 66" edges but fits right where it should. You may want to look at the BL6000EXT as it has a 6000lb capacity with a max length of 76".
One of the best features is the QuickJack is stored against the wall with a very small footprint when not in use. Just from my personal experience, I would definitely buy another QuickJack. The customer support from BendPak is nothing short of spectacular. |
e70 requires an extension adapter with the 7000TLX (largest model) to fit the jack point spread. I just found this out last hour when I tried it on the x5 for the first time. That's another 300 bucks!
