Now that you have solved you power issue, go back to basic BT troubleshooting. Delete all the paired devices from both your phone and car and then re-pair. I had to do that after the most recent IOS update.

Also, you may want to do the BMW bluetooth software update available here. https://www.bmw.com/en/footer/software-updates.html

No phones are listed on the iDrive, it just says 'please wait' with the spinning circle. I have also removed all bluetooth devices from my iPhone, still no joy.

However, there is a software update available, I'm hoping this will be the fix needed. Thanks for the link.

The software update only helps newer devices connect over BT. Since you have the spinning circle, it is a power issue or something that does not allow the combox to communicate with the CIC.

My iPhone has started to not connect automatically (or at all), and now the USB in the center console does not charge. I assume blown fuse? Anyone know which number it would be?

I actually just went through all of this over the last couple days. I had a low battery so I replaced that. After replacing and registering it still nothing. I checked fuses and fuse 132 was blown (7.5amp mini). Changed and it blew again.....this leads to comfort access. I swapped the driver and driver side passenger door handles and BOOM! it was fixed. No blown fuse and all my sounds along with bluetooth connectivity were back. I would try that; it was not difficult and seemed to work so far.

*edit* that only worked for the day, karma for me being cocky I guess. Anyway; I found a thread on bimmerfest that I'm going to try next which would be
1. Remove driver/passenger door handles completely and open trunk with button on lift gate (not the fob). If it works then your tailgate isn't the problem
2. Plug in passenger door handle and try to start your car without putting the key in the ignition (comfort access). If it starts then that handle is okay.
3. Unlplug passenger handle and plug in driver handle then try to start without key in ignition again. If it won't start then the driver handle is defective. If it does then I guess your back to the drawing board.

I'm going to try this after work today.
