E70 3.0sd multipe errors, reduced power
 
Hi,

I need urgent hep if anybody knows, I have a 2008 E70 3.0sd and while traveling, after 500km about, i got an oil sensor error on the board computer.
After a while I also got a increased emissions error. At that time I realized that the engine power was reduced, like not having turbos.
After performing a diag test with ista I got a lot of errors, a friend of mine suggested to look at the fuse box under the filter in the engine bay. A 20A (F2) fuse was burned I exchanged it but as soon as I started the engine the fuse was burned again.
Now the errors I have are:
004206 dde oxygen sensor recirculation controller activation
0046F6 dde wastegate valve, activation
0046D6 dde compressor bypass plate activation,
xx141 dde swirl flap activation,
xxx1D1 dde exhaust gas recirculation
xxx1D1 dde oxygen sensor heater activation


(for the last errors I can't see the error number in the photo).


I would appreciate if anybody could help me with any suggestion, cause I am abroad in a place that is no service shop near by.

you sure about that fuse??? I show 10A. But shouldnt be blowing either way.

Any history here of repairs? wire harness issues?

Id inspect EVERY ground strap and ground connection point.

it's the F02 fuse.


No special repairs or problems till now.The car has around 280000 km but it is well maintained.Some days ago, i changed the engine oil and filter. I have removed the DPF along time ago and the car is coded for this.

Looking at what F2 supplies it is ALL of the items on your code list. (I mean it is almost verbatim, no?)



I would trace the wire from F2 onward to each device. IMO you MAYfind damage and short to ground


From pin 4 x8582 to X2377.



then X2377 to Pin 1 X2244; pin 1 X2395; pin 1 X2231; pin 2 X2365; pin 3x62101; pin 5X2402 and pin3 X62540.




An alternative is to go to each of those connectors (X2244, 2395,2231,2365,62101,2402,62540) and pop them off. Measure the continuity from ground to each of the named pins above. One of them may be 0 ohms, which means that is the bad part and that is sucking down the current and blowing the fuse

Do you know if there is somewhere a "map" with the locations of those connectors?

I found the locations of the connectors in TIS.

Locate connector X2377 where all those wires are connected under the same hub. Take the hub connector apart. Differentiate with multimeter which of those lines comes from the fuse F02 supply. Measure resistance against ground on all other wires to locate the one which is shorted. Leave that shorted line out and connect other back together. Now with diagnostics check which component you are missing so you can focus on that component and line.

I disconnected connector X2377 from the DDE module, and checked all the pins of the connector against ground, but I didn’t find any shortcut. I thought that those sensors are connected first to the fuse box and then to the DDE, but the X2377 connects directly to the DDE module. I was thinking to find at least one sensor, to check the cable, just to be sure that this is the right connector, but I didn’t manage to find any one, I have to dismantle half of the engine bay to reach them.
Any ideas?

Are you sure you are looking at X2377??


Clavurion seems to indicate that X2377 is a 'hub' or 'bundle'.... Ive not been into this before.
