2013 X5 radio stations not working
Hi,
I have a 2013 X5 and one day the radio (FM and AM) just stopped working, but the rest of the media are working. No problems with the speakers. It seems like the radio stations appear and disappear. Has anyone had this issue before? Thanks, |
There is a diversity antenna module that combines the antenna signals. Scan for codes and you may see some related to that.

Thanks. Is there a way to fix without using a scanner? I don't have one.

Sure, start making guesses and just replace parts until you get lucky....
www.newtis.info A foxwell scanner is like 125. Might be worth having one.... |
Thanks

Hi OP, I’ve had the exact same issue as you for the past three years. Did you find resolution to your problem? Do you mind sharing?
|
Hi UC_Phill,
Not yet resolved. I opted to use Spotify since they have Virgin Radio there. It's using my data but it's ok. Dealer is charging me $165 CAD just to scan. I'll skip for now. Stay safe, |
Thanks for the update. I’ll be mindful to reply back here if I find a solution myself.

Sad.
Phill, I linked newtis.... let me find some stuff to start. You should navigate yourself for your specific car/model. https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e...memory/XVy6Ges https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e...supply/Xd5JI8a Hopefully you can dig into the ops, compare what you are seeing and maybe ID items that might cause them. I dont know if a BMW scanner would pick up faults, but worth looking. |
I presume your subscription is paid?
