But in Oregon, the EVAP monitor is not on that exception list. If you failed and the failure was due to the EVAP, the monitor will not be allowed the exception. Need to realize WI and OR do not have all the same rules. Just like CA and OR don't have the same rules.

A properly running DMTL pump is useless if the system can't hold pressure. You need to pressure test the fuel system and fix the leak(s).

Failure vs unset quite different. Wi I don't think has the precondition which is stipulated but fail wasn't a pre condition, just unset monitor afaik.

So: based on no failure previously a car should pass in OR with EVAP unset. The verbiage suggests can be any one monitor I wouldn't believe it unless somebody actually passed with a different unset monitor

I think we are kind of saying the same thing. If EVAP not set and was not the cause of the prior failure, yes, he should pass if all else is okay. But if EVAP is not set and WAS the cause of the prior failure, no, he would not pass. If there was no prior failure, then EVAP not set does not disqualify, he should pass if everything else is okay.

I just didn't mention the concept and I don't think the distinction applies in WI. It's good to know these titbits though

LOL Concept doesn't apply in CA either, but seems to apply in OR.
