Determining non-LCI and LCI?

Trying to eliminate the TPS and trying to determine if the X5 has the LCI

Trying to figure out where to look for the RDC Module

Will this show in the VIN check and as what?

Vin: 4USFE43517LY78582
Chassis: E70
Model: X5*3.0si
Engine: N52B30O1

You build date is 12/22/2006...so no...you do not have an LCI (life cycle impulse) or otherwise known as the “facelift”. You have an early build 2007 model year e70 X5. LCI usually comes 4-5 years into production.

You also have option code 2VB which is the (direct) RDC/TPM system that uses sensors in each wheel. The other (indirect) system if the RPA/FTM system which uses the ABS/wheel sensors to determine rotational speed to determine if the tire is flat.

If you want to switch from the RDC/TPM system to the RPA/FTM system, you’ll have to code to make the changes. It shouldn’t be hard to find the coding parameters needed to switch. Just use the correct terminology (or look/search using the correct terminology).

Where is the RDC(TPMS) Antenna on this model/year?

- Checked in the rear by the muffler/diff - NO

- Not in the rear pass side wheel well - (removed the arch) - NO

Using Protools and want to code it out. But have to find the RDC first and disconnect it

any thoughts?

On my '08 E70 it was under the drivers side door. Had to remove the side underbody panel and then I found it. Probably the same on your '07.
