Need to do some due diligence. Don't know where the sensor is on mine. 2013 3.0 turbo L.C.I.

Should be on the bottom of the reservoir but I'm not familiar with that engine. Using realoem you cm find the exact part based on your VIN.

Did you change anything besides the cap? I will usually wrap paper towel around the suspect leak zone. When slow enough it just evaporates you won't see a drip, but paper towel once wetted will show permanent sign of the stain.

The level sensor is within the expansion tank and part of the piece that shows the min/max as it is internal. So it doesn't break like the float in the E38/E39 expansion tanks.

But if yours is still showing low coolant and your at the max with the yellow min/max inside the tank, that is probably broken. However, if you are physically losing coolant and not from the top, like we always saw the white residue on the E38/E39 tanks, it is leaking from a seam on the bottom.

When I replaced mine I capped off the hoses and pressurized the tank with a pressure tester. Then sprayed it with soapy water and found that the seam had a little tiny ass split.

*Update*
Replaced the tank. Bottom hose clamp was a BIT** to get off. Had to partially remove wheel well and go in through the bottom to be able to better "get at it."
Float stopped working.
Runs like a clock again.
Low coolant warning gone.
Ride on!
