Help! Engine Malfunction!
Got in my '13 e70 35ix 3.0 N55 and out of nowhere I get a "engine malfunction reduced power" warning and she starts misfiring! Lucky I wasn't too far from home... 88k well maintained ride. Oil change due in about 2600 miles...

Got that all the time until we pulled the codes, found VANOS faults and changed both VANOS solenoids.
Suggest you pull the codes with a BMW specific scanner and report back. |

*UPDATE*
Cylinder 5 misfire. Replaced plug and coil. Perfect. Immediately upon leaving my indie I put a heavy load on her on and off for 10[+] miles driving home. Still Perfect. In 2k when nxt. Oil change is due, all the rest get changed... Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk |
Good plan. 88k is right in line when plugs/coils will be failing. Good that it was something normal and relatively simple.

Now comes the INFAMOUS NEVER ENDING HVAC GREMLIN PROBLEM these e70's are NOTORIOUS for. UUUUUUUUUUUURGH!!!
