E70 lemforder control arm bush wrong size
 

Hi all,

I‘m halfway through replacing all the FRONT control arms and found the bushes on the lemforder lower rear are opposite in size to the original I just took off.... eg on the original part, the bush on the chassis end of the arm is 50mm, and the bush in the center is 55mm.

The Lemforder replacement arm has 55mm on the chassis end (and won’t fit into the mounting bracket), and the bush at the center is only 50mm.

I used those same exact part numbers on my 07 X5. Like you, I replaced everything using all Lemforder control arms, tension struts, Sway bar links, strut mount kit, and those Wishbone Front upper control arms.
They all fit.

Edit: I have the 6 cylinder

Someone swapped the bush placement when they assembled the arm.


Call your vendor- contact Lemforder if you can find an e-contact. Cant be the only one....
