Places like Carvana are giving pretty much top dollar for X5's right now, and some dealers are giving up to 3-5k over bluebook for trade-ins. I got a quote on mine from Carvana (just for giggles) and they are offering only 1k less than what I paid for mine at BMW which is amazing. Because of the shortages, prices are crazy high right now on BMWs. I've seen people pay 10% over MSRP which should be a sin lol.

I have a buddy in the trade and he is having to pay $2K to $3K over retail just to have something on his lot.

Yep, it's some crazy times we are living in. Even lumbar is going crazy. I had to pay $58 for one sheet of OSB board here in Ohio. It's bonkers.

We had a guy on CL offering $500 for 10 sheets of 3/4 ply and 25 sheets of 1/4 ply/OSB. I doubt he had anybody beating down his door to take him upon his offer.

Yeah the market was a lot better in March/April. Everything is super expensive now. We sold our E53 for a strong price, but now will more than pay for it when we upgrade.

Same with housing. Can sell our house for a nice premium, but to upgrade will be a significant increase on that end.

A neighbor just sold his place to GetTheF out of CA. Too much communism, dictator for a governor. Too blue. Too expensive. Got $$$ for his house

Moved to Austin TX. (!)

Cant afford to buy there, renting. and had to pre-oay 6 months rent. Wanted to build, thats a non-starter.

But made top dollar on the sale.

(And I have lumbar problems too...)
