Lean Codes

Codes: 28A0 2BC0 2BEA 28A0 After first reset 28A0 & 2BC0 returned each time immediately after a reset without the engine running.
And so began the journey and a
nother three - four weeks lay up for the 654 miles old rebuilt engine. First I had my indy check the complete induction circuit and while he was there change the charge pipe for a billet type also swapped the MAP & MAF for new FCP supplied parts.
Light was reset and took a few minutes to return. I did a web search, contacted my buddy the broker who has a lot of repair experience and also contacted AndrewW on the board. Broker suggested checking fuses in the engine compartment as he had had a blown purge tank fuse cause the same codes. Fuses good. Andrew pointed my to a tech board and they were suggesting change out the turbo electric blow-off valve and reset the purge valve.
I grabbed a blow-off valve and a tank purge valve and had those replaced. Light went off and, so far, has stayed off but it is early days yet. (40 - 50 miles driven.)
Now on to replacing the steering in-our adjust motor in Der Adler! That is a whole other story.

Great feedback.

It was a pinch of miracle I found that website/thread. I really hope that fix is permanent.

I really appreciate your taking the time to look. This is what makes a board a great board; members assisting other members.
I hope this is the fix also buy then something else is likely to break. I do not think sitting for 5 months in various stages of engine dismemberment did the sundry engine add-ons any good. My usual MTBF is 2 weeks to the fault then 2 -4 weeks for the repair/s.

33 to 50% duty cycle. It will get better. I've had worse bit usually much better

If it gets worse then I'll be forced to trade it off. I really would like to get a number of years out of the "new engine" but sitting in our garage or the indy's repair shop is getting really old.
This is not a good time to swap cars so we are trying to tough it out.
