2012 XDrive35i upper radiator hose confusion

So I am in the middle of replacing the water pump, thermostat, expansion tank and some of the hoses. I ordered a new upper hose that goes into the ts
tat but when I compare it to the one I removed it does have an extra connector.

Any idea why they are different and where to order a matching part from?

I went into the local parts department and they GAVE me the cover that locks on the hose to seal the connector.
That hose fits across a number of models and some use the connection.

Oh, I see, it is part number 17127799184 on the chart. Would have been nice to know that I needed it. I'll put in the order...
