On harsh road noisy bang heard and felt
 

On my new to me 2012 X53.5d hearing and feeling banging on driver left side when traveling over rough road.

Have not had a chance yet to get underneath. Thought I would throw it out there now as maybe someone else has also had this issue.

Got it this way.

92,000 miles. Enjoying the ride so far. Drove back and forth from NY to FL already. Nearly 28mpg.

Yes, the fuel mileage is superb for such a vehicle and its drivetrain. Love mine. I'd look at the front sway bar end-links. Could be the sway bar bushings also.

pop the hood and look at the top of the shock mounts...any grit or dust that looks like disintegrating bushings??

I hope I can get to 200k miles before I see anything like that! 168k+ and going strong. Just end links in the front. Everything else feels and sounds tight.
