CCC RADIO OK IN ACC BUT NOT IN KEY START or RUNNING
I've got a radio problem on my X5 CCC radio. I've been searching for 2 days and cant find any solution. I hope someone here could help me with this.
The problem is the radio works okay in accessory mode but will not work in start or when the engine running it looks like it's frozen. I've tried hard reboot and even tried to remove the battery for the whole night but still the same. I really need help |
what year? US car??
When you say "radio" what do you actually mean? The 'radio' plays sounds, you cannot SEE the radio.... |
It's a 2007 x5 e70 3.0 si. Us car

There is a signal, called "58g" that is sent to the CCC from the footwell module...this does a few things, turns on lights in the roof module, other things.
IF YOUR FOOTWELL MODULE IS CORRUPTED, it MAY be interfering with the normal operation of the CCC module Are you noticing anything odd with lighting, windows, other controls???? |
Everything works fine except my front windows. I did an ista check and got this with a red.
1.MASK/CCC 2.CCC-ANT 3.ASK_0x3f 4.SDARS But when check in accessory mode all the red modules are green. I'm still figuring out if I could reset it using tool32 but it's all in German. If anyone can give me step by step how to do it, it would be much appreciated Sent from my [samsung_cellphone] using Xoutpost.com mobile app |
You should read up om footwell module failures.
Not everything can be fixed with a computer tool. |
Thank you on all your replies. Maybe the best thing I could do is to just have my frm fix
|
I dunno, may be the wrong direction... I did some mroe digging in the TIS...having doubts
seems that 58g may only be a signal that tells 'the dash lights are dimmed to this value'... this signal is distributed to a TON of modules: door hadle, dvd drive, oddments compartment, etc In order for this to be your issue, somehow the CCC must be seeing this value, it is 'wrong', but then somehow causes the CCC not to behave properly. So Im not sure. One thought- perhaps disconnecting the pin/wire to the CCC? If it fixe/changes the behavior, that might be a hint? Sry... |
If you have an schematics for the FRM 2 maybe I could test the wirings for short circuit . What puzzles me is why it works in accessory but not in ignition start. I've already checked all the fuses but they are all good. Checked fuses in accessory mode and in start mode. Status of the car is everything working except for the radio and front window is not working. I've search that the frm controls the front windows so I'll just have to change my FRM but before installing I have to check the wire for shorts.
THANK YOU for helping. Sent from my [samsung_cellphone] using Xoutpost.com mobile app |
To change the language, click on 'Datei' in the top left corner and then 'Einstellung'. Language selection is under 'Sprache'. Languages have to have been installed during installation to be available.
