E70 X5M Crank Case Vent Hose
 

Has anyone replaced both the left and right CCV hose on their x5m?

Mine seem to have plugged up or cracked. Oil is leaking from the valve cover and I can see engine oil swirling inside the air intake. Left side more serious than the right.

Local shop is quoting $3300 to replace both hoses plus the valve covers.

Do you guys think this is a possible diy for a novice like myself?

The hoses themselves aren't that expensive. I'm sure most of the cost is in the labor.
