Replacing Alternator on 2013 35i

So my alternator died on my 2013 X5 35i. Figure no big deal. First of all, its a huge PITA to remove the old one. Had to remove the oil cooler/oil filter housing. Got the old one out. New one I ordered from FCPEURO.COM will not fit. I have no problem putting the old one back in, but the new replacement just will not fit. I have confirmed its an OEM replacement from Denso, a DAN1135.
Any suggestions?https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...76e32006c9.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...dd97a18c43.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...30ca9396b1.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...d89ed43764.jpg

Repair guide doesn't remove the oil filter housing it removes the charge pipes, and loosens the fitment of the AC compressor to move it out of the way.

I'm thinking the charge pipe flexed enough coming out that you got it to work but going in it's getting tighter as you're trying to go past.

You took the OFH off but the video below shows a trick to avoid that and it seems messing with the AC as well.

From the video it says to take the cover off the back during install/removal. That may give you the clearance you need.
