Pedal Commander
 

Installed it in my 2013 X5 inline six petrol.

First: Works as good or better than they say. So yes get it install it.

But: their installation video is for an E53>

the E70 installation. The only difference is getting the throttle pedal off.
Forgive the poor quality photos. There is a small black cover, cap over the T30 bolt. The cap is not shown.

Remove bolt and push pedal upwards to release metal "tab" shown in the last photo.
Turn the pedal sideways and get the original plug out, however you can. If you have small strong fingers or, in my case a special pair of pliers.

Figure out where the wires go and you are done. It took me 1.5 hours. but I could do it again in 10 mins

This mod DOES make a world of differenc, so much so that on the most sensitive level it is too twitchy for in town.

Those things are ridiculous, what a waste of money. I thought that maybe they were finally banned or given up on but apparently not.
