3.5i N55 Valve Carbon Cleaning Pics

A few Months ago I had to replace the engine in my 2011 E70. Before I put the new (Used) one in, I did a few things to it, including walnut blasting the intake valves. I've been meaning to post these for a while, but life gets busy. I know that carbon buildup isn't much of a problem on our N55s, but it looked like when the junkyard power washed the engine, a little water got into one of the intake ports and caused a little surface rust on a couple of the valves. I wanted to clean that up and also start with a clean slate. The pictures are loosely in order from cylinder 1 --> 6. If there's not a before picture it's because I got a little excited at the beginning and forgot to snap a photo before I started blasting away. The donor engine had 93K on it.

Nice job

I did mine last year, wasn’t so bad either the said, butt now thevengine can breath a bit better I guess.

On the Dyno you good see at higher rpm’s that it good do better.
After the WB the dyno was occupied so I have no real data about that, butt I believe the tuner on his word.

The issue I hope it's helped is rough idle on cold start. Mine is way way overdue 190,000 miles pretty sure never done.

I read that a little too fast. Thought you said the "butt Dyno" you believed.
