Aftermarket/Unbranded NOx sensors - now SLE discussion
Any members have experience with these very cheap sensors? You can find them for less than $150 for the pair in various locations. Barring that, are there any verified good alternatives to sticking with the OE part here that cost less?

Good Question
Seems like the availability hasn't trickled into a solid answer on the topic. I bought 2 to have on hand- plan on installing an inline connector for easy testing/swapping.
There are also lower cost options that include the little ECU for other brands. I'm wondering if some of those are compatible but have no idea. They sure look similar and considering supplier desires for ROI, maybe one of them is drop in. With that said, swapping in just the sensor after the ECU seems like less hassle assuming the new sensors are reliable. |
The ones I saw recently on eBay were entire sensors, with the sensors, crossovers, and connectors and are listed for the X5 specifically. These are different than the ones I first saw years ago which were just sensors that had to be spliced in to the wiring after the crossovers. These newer ones are about $130. I don't even see the spliced ones around, but I haven't gone on a dedicated search yet.

I've had always used Bosch sensors from Amazon that come complete with the wire and connector, just plug it in.
