Pricing new X5

Does any one know what the pricing will be? Our lease is up in Dec and we are down to three possilbe models at this point.

We just drove the new Audi Q7 and it was very impressive for the price. The Land Rover Sport is another one we like a lot.

Would it possible to get the new X5 with 4.8 for around $57 or is that way to low?

Is possible if you do not add much of optons. 4.8 will be replacing the 4.4.

December is a long way away, and the next gen X5's details should be released shortly. A low milege CPO 4.8 is not a bad option at all. If you wait till the details of the new X5 are released, the prices on the current gen will drop hard.

So you mean there will only be 2 models to choose from, the 3.0 & the 4.8??

Initially. But there are also rumors that the 4.8 will be offered in 2-wheelbase versions. The 4.8 replacement, a V10 5.0, will appear an year later.

V10 in M5 = 12 MPG. V10 in X5 = 10 MPG? No doubt it's going to be a monster, but the weight differential between the X5 and M5 has to exact some type of fuel penalty.

Good point...personally, I want to hold the line as far as fuel consumption goes.

are you guys sure the M5 V10 is going into the new X5. Im pretty sure its not. I heard its either gonna be the V12 from the 760 or a Alpinna based
5.0 liter V8 putting out about 450 hp.

Especially since the V10 will not work well with an automatic transmission

I have trouble understanding the V10 M5 engine rumour. It is a heavy vehicle, so a high-revving engine doesn't make any sense. Which transmission would go behind it?

How about a twin turbo 4.4 with close to 500 hp, sometime after the initial release (likely 2007)? That rumour is going around.

Check the initial qaulity reports in consumer reports...RR is currently only ranked above KIA in initial quality compliants...you should talk to blonde boi before even thinking about it...he has had his for two months and drivin it like two weeks when is not in the shop.
