I saw these few hours ago at other place. I like it.

at least they didnt do such a drastic morph like they did with the e60's so our e53's wont seem obsolete.

No roof rails on the pinstriped X. It looks bald. :)

I'm not jumping up and down, but I still say we are seeing a fairly muled-up version.

Sure hope that's the 3.0...the exhaust looks mighty restrictive. Note the single muffler below the bumper a la Toureg.

Indeed..As much as i'd like to make a decision right now, Thats still a pretty padded up X..Even the front might be disguised...Dont judge a book.....

u can tell those are two models are different. the silver is a downgraded one, the black one has bigger tires for sure.

It has possibilities!If you remove the black tape,I reckon it might be pretty close to the final product????
The headlights seem taped up as well !I sincerely hope that those are not flashers on the mirrors!If they are,they will be clear on the final car!

Is that a one piece, dual outlet muffler tucked behind the bumper like the Cayenne?

If it has more room on the inside and better electronics then I guess it will be a good SAV.

is it me or does the tailight on the rear quarter panel look out of place? doesn't match the tail light on the rear at all. would think something has to give

Those rear lights are just heavily disguised. The lights on the rear decklid aren't lights, they are pieces of red tape cut to look like the E53 deck lights. However, the left and right rear quarter lights sure do look like Cellis which to me is not a bad thing.

and i REALLY HOPE that those lights on the sides of the lift gate are not there. Or ill make sure to black those out if i ever got the 07-08 x5.

Based on what? If production/release is in Nov. 06, then tooling has to begin, vendors selected, contracts awarded, parts purchased, and all of the munutia that goes into producing an automobile. With little more than 5 months and change to go, far too late into the game for anything but the most minute changes.

Of course you are entitled to own whatever belief system you choose, just don't be surprised if it does not pan out. For what it's worth, the E70 doesn't look as good to me as I had hoped, though I am hoping a test drive will render appearance moot.

You can take a car that came off the line an hour ago and give it a mule job by...using...tape.

X5, no...X3, no... This car looks really bad only things im really liking are the front headlights the car looks depressed like the x3 and is big like the x5, i think bmw is coming out with a new X4 it seems like to me :rolleyes:

I still believe we are seeing two test vehicles, one a new X5 one a new X3.

These guys aint silly..I saw a muled up e90 a couple years ago, with 6 pieces of tape on it..thats all...It looked like a 98 Accord until the tape came off..They could care less about revealing size, shape..Its the LINES they're trying to hide IMO, becuase thats what seems to define its looks more than anything...

what's with the skinny tires........ i love the current 4.4 and 4.8 steamroller tires :)
