Looks like BMW didn't get to crazy with the design afterall. Now I'm definitely expecting a "X5" and "X5L" because unless you offer two platforms, there is now 3rd row seat that BMW has leaked out about.

I still wish they would color the whole vehicle instead of having the black bumper and side trim :(

More on 3rd row...and diesel in States.

I definitely agree with you about the color bumper, but not about the side trims. The side trims give it contrasts and contours as opposed to a complete flat side slab like every other cars and trucks out there today. Besides, I prefer the functional non-body color side trims for those supermarket runs and not feel so bad for leaving my baby out in the parking lot. I would rather have those trims over door dings anyday! These days, not having side trims on any car is a deal breaker for me.

Looks good!!

Keeping with BMW tradition, E70 being the even generation(2nd) of X5, the design is evolutionary unlike the E60 and E65 which are odd generations and therefore revolutionary.
That being said, the next generation of X5 for MY 2014 will be revolutionary.

It looks good, are all '07 X5's going to have the 3rd row seating??

fln8tive 05-15-2006 11:05 PM

Could that just be tape on the bumpers covering up paint?

Not all. 3rd row seats will be an option.
