the 4.8i is only $54,500?
aren't 2006's starting at $71,100?
i'm guessing there are a lot more options
compared to the earlier 4.8's and 4.6's:dunno:.

I guess basic options will raise it by $10-15K. Wonder what 4.8 comes with as a standard.

54K for a 4.8, I guess BMW has gone INSANE considering they are now pricing their 4.8 at the same level as the year before 4.4. I'll wait to see what it really goes for at the dealership.

E70 4.8i =/= E53 4.8is....

The new "4.8i" is the replacement model for the old "4.4i". They have yet to announce a replacement for the 4.6is/4.8is model... that will probably be a year or two after introduction.

BINGO, not so sure about these costs.....

Maybe the new M3 will start at $35,000 and work its way up

That doesn't matter much....BMW has never made a drop like that. Again, I'll wait for a price sheet from a dealer...sounds too good to be true.

It's not a drop... you need to compare the 4.8i model to the E53 4.4i, not to the 4.8is. In terms of all the specifications, this model is equivalent to the 4.4i model except that it has a power boost. It's not comparable to the E53 4.8is.
