2007 Deliver Dates

I think I've seen a couple of threads about delievery dates of the new 2007 E70. Does any one have a real order in BMW system??? My dealers telling me that we're a month away from being able to modify an order in their system.

These guys have always been straight with me, so I want to make sure this is the same thing everyone else is being told.

Thanks Guys

There are quite a few members here who have the E70 on order. Mass production will start sometime next month. It takes about 3-6 weeks, depending on where the delivery will be made, once the production starts to delivery. Most probably the dealers on east coast will get first before the others due to closeoximity to factory. It will be a good idea to do performance center delivery on E70.

I would like to hear specific verification that someone has a real order with a prodcution number, like I have on my M6 Cab. Then I have something to say to my dealer.

rooster328 09-06-2006 09:14 PM

I just got my order entered in the computer, infact my dealer said, that the deadline for first shipment in Canada is tomorrow, so i quickly ordered my car today. ETA delivery date end of nov

Even though it doesn't make any sense, it may be diferent in Canada.

PS: I'm Canadian and originally from Toronto.

That's interesting, What do they leave off?

PS: I spent the last 5 days in Vancouver.

rooster328 09-06-2006 09:45 PM

well the package are totally different from the us one, for ex u have to get active steering if u want adaptive drive, and comfort access is included in a package and not a standalone option...wtf

JCL 09-07-2006 12:57 AM

The E53 packages were all different as well. Same with the E46, and the Z4.

rooster328 09-07-2006 01:05 AM

btw guys no active seats offer yet for canada, i got the Canadian order guide, but is too big to upload

marcx5 09-07-2006 01:11 AM

active seat better be available in US at launch. geez. i don't see why they'd limit it from canadian orders.

What's about Middle East Delivery?

I totally agree with you! I ordered one for my father (I have a MDX and SLK55) last week with an early November delivery date. If I like the new X5 and the reliability is o.k. then I will buy one as well, instead of the new MDX.

I ordered the 4.8i with just the premium package and six-disc CD changer. My father is 64 and even this too much for him to figure out!:)

rooster328 09-12-2006 06:54 PM

Hey teufel, who is your dealer?
i ordered PP, tech and 3rd row seats
did u have to rush through your order in 1 day too? lol

gundlapalli 09-13-2006 10:28 AM

Hey teuful,
Where did you order? I am trying to get one with 3.0 and load it up. Can you tell us did you get any discount off MSRP?

Chandra

X5_shopper 09-13-2006 11:15 AM

I was quoted $1000 off of an 3.0 and $1500 off a 4.8.

Numbers were MSRP

I ordered from Park Shore Motors in Northshore Auto Mall.
I ordered last week. No one day rush.
We didn't discuss the price; none available at the time. My family knows the dealership very well. We have bought several cars from them in the past 20 -25 years. So, I am sure we will get a good deal with the trade in.:)

Fastbuck 09-14-2006 07:20 PM

I've managed to get my self lined up for launch date in the UK of 28th April with a 3.0dSE

rooster328 09-17-2006 03:02 PM

Hey, teufel, when did u order? i had to put in my order the day the canadaian options list become avaliable so that my car will be the first shipment to arrive, apprently the deadline for first shipment is the day after they got their list

xdrive 09-17-2006 09:07 PM

A little confused with the North America delivery and the European delivery. So the North America delivery will be in Nov 06 (initial batches) whereas the European delivery will be in April 07. In the circumstances, should those to Europe in April 07 (as well as the ones to be delivered in the US in April 07) be also considered as initial bataches?

gundlapalli 09-21-2006 08:20 PM

Just ordered 3.0 with Auto Tail Gate
Cold Weather Package
Heated Rear Seats
3rd Row Seats
Rear Seat Entertainment
Premium Package
Technology Package.

marcx5 09-21-2006 08:59 PM

Yeah, I've read the same thing about power tailgate. Is this real order in the BMW system. Do you have a production number in writting? I'd love know the real scoop. My dealer in California still says no way to place an order yet.

MichX5 09-22-2006 06:44 AM

Hey Gund, what was your total price for those options?

gundlapalli 09-22-2006 10:17 AM

My dealer said he will do the order in BMW bank and once the system is up I will get the order number.

Its $60447 out of door.

MichX5 09-22-2006 10:29 AM

That adds up to $15k in options? You're in USA right?

gundlapalli 09-22-2006 10:34 AM

Yes - I am in USA. its not 15K in options its around 12K in options the rest is tax and tags.

MichX5 09-22-2006 10:37 AM

How much was the technology package? The power tailgate package? I will probably eliminate those two

gundlapalli 09-22-2006 10:41 AM

I got every thin on invoice plus I gave them 4% profit and ofcourse tax and tags.

gundlapalli 09-22-2006 10:43 AM

sorry had to delete

marcx5 09-22-2006 11:28 AM

you better double check auto tail gate option... documents show that is not available until april. please confirm if you have heard differently.

gundlapalli 09-22-2006 12:23 PM

Sure thing. Is it a fair deal I got? or am I rushing?

Please let me know if this is good deal?

My rough calculations tell me that your deal is ~$3000 below retail. That's about $2000 better than I was quoted last week.

They used wholesale pricing with the addition of a lump sum "profit" figure whereas my guy quoted me retail pricing with a "discount".

So is it a good deal? I'd say yes ..... so far.

gundlapalli 09-25-2006 01:46 PM

Yes you are right- Auto tail gate not in ordering system.

marcx5 09-25-2006 02:40 PM

darn, i was hoping you were able to get it!! :) i wonder if this could be added on at a later point??
