Me too, I got the same one.

Simply the X5 3.0 weighs more than the X3, both have the same engine.

X3 has 260 hp at 6,600 rpm and 225 lb-ft of torque at 2,500 rpm.

Would be nice if the X5 in 3.0 trim could be faster but I guess it is the same engine as the X3?

Thanks.

Couldn't agree more especially when people are saying that it will be offerred in the 08's production. The point about the adjustiable ride height is not useful or even danagerous does not hold.

I agree as well but so are the Cayenne and the Q7.

xdrive, I advise you to wait for the car, drive it , test it, check all the data / figures when become generally available - and then express a complaint if still valid.

Right now you (and some other guys) are acting very funny - talking about something you have absolutely no complete info about. So please wait, and spare us from your hysterical crying.

Sorry for being harsh, but I'm just alergic to BMW bitching based on wrong or incomplete info.

Again my advice: WAIT till complete info are available to you!

Regarding X3 3.0si being faster than X5 3.0si: all smaller (lighter) models with equal engine are faster than their bigger brothers. So 130i is faster than 330i, and 330i is faster than 530i, and 530i is faster than 730i. Etc.

It's possible that the adjustable ride height components would have to be re-engineered for the upcoming dynamic x-drive. So instead of engineering a system that would only be viable for the first year or so of production, they decided to hold off until DXD is introduced. Just a thought.

That sounds too logical. I'm not sure your theory has any place in this discussion. ;) LOL!

Soon I hope. My dealer sayes that they will be "in stock" in Nov. At the moment I'm about to put down a deposit in order to get a spot in his Nov. allocation (25 units). So I'm eager to see the formalized press material and data too as they would hopefully answer the last question or two that I have.

Would someone mind translating european mpg into US mpg?

In a post from the first page of this thread there is a picture with the "fuel consumption" statistics for the X5 3.0si....i re-attached the picture with the information in it (sorry to those of you on dialup)

I was wondering if anyone knew the conversion from European MPG to the US equivalent since I am pretty sure the X5 3.0 will not be getting 25.9mpg.

Thanks in advance for any help.
