Production Hold??
 

I was at my BMW dealer yesterday to get information about the different suspension setups on the E70 and asking when different vehicles would be in stock for test drive. The business manager told me he didn't know as BMW has just advised that they have a hold on all produced units (he thinks there was a hold on production as well). BMW wouldn't say what the hold was for or when it would be lifted.

The business manager said they have 8 units to deliver and don't know when the hold will be released. He also said tha BMW had over 100 vehicles on hold at the manufacturing facility.

Does anyone know anything about this??

Mine has been held in Quality Check since end of November. I can't find out what the hold up is at all or how long it might last.

Wow! that's a real disappointment! I Hope you get it soon. Mine is supposed to be Feb 15th delivery. I hope all the issues are cleared up before then.

Anyone in the USA on hold??

My dealer was chasing me to finalise my spec today as the factory apparently want it for 9am on Monday.

Someone said on another form that they picked up their new 2007 X5 and the fuel pump crapped out after they drove away. It took a while to get a replacement. Maybe this may be one of the hold-ups

I got my E70 last week with a broken ashtray and the passenger side window not working. Other than that the X5 is FANTASTIC!!!

mine was supposed to be 49th week production and 52nd week delivery

It arrived to the dealer with issues??? No wonder BMW is holding them.

My production was finished the last week of Nov and was stuck in hold until Dec 21st. I still do not have my car. Ordered in Sept.

Have yet to see an E70 out killin' bugs...is this why?

I was there at the factory yesterday and they are building X5 - didnt see any holdups.
