Regarding the hood i didn't say anything about the cost. I said it's tinny and i stand by that. The hood feels cheap, plain and simple.

I understand that aluminum hood is ligher and yes, it is flimsier than traditional hood. I know, I have a M3 with an aluminum hood. However, as a BMW fan since the 80's, I am glad BMW is trying to keep the 50/50 weight distribution. However, unfortunately, it seems that each generation of BMWs are getting heavier and larger, but that is what the people want...:rolleyes:


I also noticed the front doors in the E70 are lighter than the E53, but the side airbags are on the front seats in the E70 instead of the door on the E53.

E70 doors sound more car like though. Tighter when closing.

I agree the third row is small. I ended up with a 07 Suburban for that reason along with side airbags all three rows. But WHO would put a baby seat in ANY third row where you can't see the baby?
