Rear View Camera and PDC

Hi y'all, I have been browsing these threads for a few months now and have decided to join. :imnew:
I currenty have a 2003 X5 3.0, which will be leaving me very shorty (3-4 days?) because I have put in a order for the E70. It will be a moderately loaded 3.0si with premium, rear climate, cold weather, and tech. Silver/Black/Dark Burl.
I am not getting the 3rd row, no matter how much the salesman begged me.
After driving the 3.0si demo (space grey, premium, etc...) which had PDC, I decided to get PDC. It turns out, instead of ordering navi and pdc seperately, I could get the tech pack with the rear view camera for the same price. My question is, do I still get a display of the vehicle with the graphics of what the sensors are reading (which I want), or do I forfit that with the camera? Can I have both?
Also, shouldn't I get $200 off from the rear climate pack due to the shades not being there?
My dealer "somehow" forgot to mention it. Hmmm...
The dealer said build date would be in mid March for a 3.0si. Sound right?
(The dealer hasn't sent in the order yet)
Thanks a ton!

:wavey::xoutpost::wavey: If it's done by the factory, then you'll have the graphics. Get the tech package though, rear view cameras come in handy.

Hi,
good question :

hopefully the splitted screen can help and show both. It´s wide enough, the screen.

But the dragon´s pictures show only one image on the screen, the rear camera ones.

So, it might be that while turning back only the rear camera is displayed , by putting the stick in D position with PDC still active the grafic of the car appears showing the desired green-red areas like in the E60.

I had the rear camera in the E53 and it was quite usefull, parking until the last inch without touching.

But the PDC monitoring of the E60 is fantastic also.

Best regards
Alex

I have a 2007 E70 with technology package. You can select either the camera or the PDC. If you select the camera, the PDC still works by emitting the sound but no graphics appear. Based on my playing around, you cannot split the screen and show both - the iDrive option selection requires you to pick either camera or PDC.

Thank You all for your answers.
Glasd, do you mind me asking what dealer you use? I'm at Patrick, but thinking of switching if somebody else has a lower price.

Where can I find those pics?
Thanks.

Also, are there any real life pics of Titanium Silver? I've only seen BMWUSA pics.
