Bluetooth/BMW Assist/Phone Compatibility
Any objections to starting an E70-specific thread on phone compatibility with BMW Assist in the new X5's?
Coupled with the fact that my Sony Ericsson M600 was recently stolen and an E70 is on order, I wanted to make sure that my next phone met my communication needs not only as a stand alone device, but in combination with the new X5. I have done the routine searches on other website and this site, but one thing that I noticed in reading the posts is that people are experiencing different results on MY 2007 BMW's, which leads me to think that maybe something has changed with BMW assist for this model year? Anyhow, I would love to hear from anyone who uses smartphones in combination with their vehicles. Looking forward to your input! |
Verixon Blackberry 8703 only partly a success
My verizon blackberry 8703e does sinc and allows you to place and receive calls. Two issues that still plague the design is that the address book only syncs entries A-F regardless of size of address book. The other issue is the time it takes to sync with this phone. Usually takes a good three minutes before you can place a call. Would be interested to see if others have had more success with the blackberry 8703e.

I have the Blackberry 7103, but will be getting an 8703e tomorrow morning. I had the same problem, but mine was A-K. I went through my address book on my PC and cleaned it up. Some ,-) characters caused it to stop reading the list. As soon as I limited the list to just characters and numbers, it read the whole thing in.
The owner of my dealership has an 8703 and he says he has almost a thousand names in. Also I don't find it takes long to sync each time I get into the car. |
I have the new Samsung M650 and it works perfectly!
