Real Time Traffic Information (RTTI) Updated
Found this on the BMWCCA website. I have RTTI on my coupe and while its been pretty good at alerting me of traffic jams, I have noticed that its sometimes slow to report them. Maybe this will help and I was surprised to find out that I have to do nothing. A free upgrade!!!!!!!!

How do I get this for my 2005 X5?
|
I don't think you can retrofit. RTTI is only available on MY 07+.

cool info. Thanks!

I was thinking about this last night and was wondering if BMWs equipped with RTTI will also provide a signal for helping identify traffic? Can anyone find that answer?
|
yes, its in the owners manual. They give a lot of symbols.
Sorry, but I'm too lazy right now to look it up.... |
found it :)
13th question, click on it to view. http://www.bmwusa.com/Owners/Owners_Benefits/RTTI.htm |
In today's Washington Post's frontpage, I found this article on RTTI. It even shouts out BMW for having such technology.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...021901163.html I still get the feeling that a lot of folks still don't understand how useful this info is, since many people still ask whether or not they should get NAV (probably more on other boards I visit) when buying a new BMW. Maybe its a big-city thing ;) |
wait...does this mean my X5 has this updated system right now? When was in installed?
