I ordered X5 in december and still dont have it. I call dealer each week and he said that production delayed and your car will be in 1-2 weeks(each week he say for this). But i go to bmwusa in 'vehicle order tracking' and My x5 is only ""ON ORDER"". Does anybody know how long usually car is making when it ON ORDER? And is it possible that info is incorect?

thanks

The E70 production is most likely delayed because issues came up with the first run cars, as is VERY common with a first model year. BMW is most likely taking the time to fix any known issues at the factory before sending them to the dealer. You will be very happy when you get the car and don't have to take it right in to the shop. Just be patient.

Strange, I ordered mine on Dec 14 and picked it up a litttle over 2-weeks ago. There's a BMW phone number you can call where you can get your production status; it's much more accurate than the website. (I had it, used it, but lost it; sorry.) You'll need your vehicle order number or vin number. Ask your dealer for the number.

Still, I see no reason why your dealer doesn't know what the delay is. Mine knew what was going on every step of the way and kept me posted.

BMWNA #800-831-1117.... an automated system allows you to track production status... just follow the prompts... good luck... I am just waiting out my last final days until delivery...

Perhaps your dealer already exercised its entire production allotment?

And your on the list for the next batch when your dealer gets it's next allotment?
