How long does transport take?
 

My X5 is finished being made, is at the processing center, and is ready to leave South Carolina. I found out via phone, but the online website said it had already finished the "en-route" stage Don't know which one to believe, but the phone one is a bit more up to date, usually. It was produced this Monday, the 5th of February 2007.
About how long will it usually take for an X5 to get to the Chicago, IL, area? Do they do transport on weekends/Sunday?

According to BMW NA's 1-800 #, our X5 is "currently being transported to the point of exit". Spoke with our dealer today and he said it would be 10 days.

We are in Southwest Ohio for comparison's sake.

At least it's fairly quick for you folks in the US. For the UK it can be 6 weeks from production to delivery into the country depending upon which ship they can get it on to.

I don't know how often the shipping occurs, but if you miss one boat it might be a wee while until the next one.
