Posting a Picture
 

i just received my x5, how do I post pictures in here?

you need to upload it to x5 world's server or an image site...then you click the yellow square with the mountains (or something), that is on the textbox menu. you need to have the address of the image too.

You can also scroll down in you reply and click "manage attachments" and upload the pics.

The file is to big, how do i shrink it?

Depending on your computer, go into MS Paint, open the image, go to IMAGE then click on RESIZE/SKEW. Set the horizontal and vertical percentages (equally, for example 50% and 50%) then hit OK.

It will resize the image.

Mac or PC???

If your a Mac user this might help.

As a Mac user this is what i do.

If your in iPhoto select the photo you want to use. Remember your photo needs to be re-sized so select the photo. Now go up to FILE menu and choose the export option. When the box shows up select the radio button that says "scale images no larger than". Now change the size accordingly. Now hit the export button. It will say save as, and where. After you complete this process you should have renamed the photo and saved the photo to the desktop.

Now look below the X5world post your working on. You will see a button that says "manage attachments. Click that button. The next screen you will see will say upload file from your computer/browse. Select the browse button. Your computer will be selected. Now go to the desktop find the file you renamed and select it. It will appear in the X5 world manage attachments window. Now click upload. You will see the process complete.

In my experience what you won't see is the picture in message payne. I just ignore that and if I'm done i then hit the "submit reply button and the picture shows up.

One thing to remember is if the picture is to big X5world rejects it and you will have to resize the photo again. Once you find an acceptable size you can use that size all the time. WORKS FOR ME. And no need to upload to ImageShack or anywhere else.
