Ran my VIN through the VIN decoder...
and instead of a 2007 E70 it showed up as a 2006 X5 3.0d RH Drive.
Just a weird happening? |
I think there is a time lag when they input the new VIN #s in VIN decoder. I had a similar experience when my X5 was on order.

Didn't you hear, the USPS has commandeered X5 production - they need safe and economical vehicles for rural delivery. Jeep was their supplier but they have stopped all RHD production - so it was logical that the X5 would be selected. --- NOT

VIN Decoder
Where can I find this? Can you post a link? Thx.

I assume he's talking about the one on the BMW website. Go to BMWUSA.com. On the top bar, click on "Owners">"Owners Circle">"Create New Account"... Plug in your production number or VIN, and the details of the car show up. You can go online and track it through the stages of production. I'm doing the same with my 335i Coupe that I have on order. There can be a lag at first, if they use a production spot that was assigned to a different car originally. Alternatively, you can call 1-800-831-1117 for updates.
